Here we have provided answers to our most frequently asked questions to assist you. If you require any additional information, feel free to give us a call; we're always happy to hear from our customers, whether existing or potential.

Here are the most common questions asked...and their answers.

Q: Do Chiropractors prescribe drugs or surgical procedures?

A: No drugs, medications, or surgeries are performed by the Doctor of Chiropractic. Chiropractors focus on restoring proper function as a way of providing pain relief and optimal health. In many cases, drugs are used to cover up pain, but do nothing to "fix" the cause of the problem.

Q: Does Chiropractic care hurt?

A: Compared to being to the dentist or getting a deep tissue massage, chiropractic care is virtually painless! We explain everything before we do it. At your first visit feel free to talk to any of our patients, you'll be happy with what you hear!

Q: Do I have to go to a Chiropractor forever once I begin care?

A: Like regular dental check-ups, once patients experience the value of chiropractic, many will choose to continue on a maintenance schedule to prevent future problems. However long you decide to benefit from chiropractic is always up to you.

Q: Does Acupuncture treatment hurt?

A: Most people describe it as virtually painless or far less pain than plucking out a hair. The sensations that follow range from nothing at all, to mild tingling to pulsations in areas distant from the site of insertion. All these sensations usually subside once the needles are removed. The needles used are very small, disposable needles that do not draw blood. You can also call us at any time for more information.

Q: What should I expect from my first visit?

A: The first visit takes about 45 min to 1 hour. We take a thorough history and examination of the area of complaint. The doctor may order x-rays if needed, which we take at the office. Then you may have some therapy which can consist of ice, electrical muscle stimulation, or ultrasound to decrease inflammation or heat therapy and traction to stretch and relax muscles. After that the doctor will explain x-ray findings and go through a treatment plan with you. You may even have your chiropractic spinal manipulation at your first visit!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Cost depends on your insurance plan. We accept most insurances including Medicare and Medicaid. We also work with attorneys and 3rd party payers ( automobile insurance) if you have been involved in an accident. No insurance, no problem! We make chiropractic and acupuncture affordable enough for everybody to benefit.

Q. What do I need to bring with me on my first visit?

A: Make sure you bring your most recent insurance card with you if you want us to file your insurance. If you've been involved in an accident, please bring a copy of your accident report, claim information and attorney information if you have signed with an attorney to represent you. All patients need to bring a list of medication and a copy or report of any recent x-rays or MRI's that have been taken.
